Hey Fap...are you the guildie who makes beer? If so...Where do the bubbles in beer come from? Is it from the yeast? or do they add carbination? I know I could goggle it...but I figure I'd get a better answer here.

HI! Yep, I'm the resident beerinator. When yeast eats sugar, it produces two waste products, alcohol and CO2. If a beer is naturally carbonated, the bubbles are from yeast farts, and you can tell if the beer is naturally carbonated if there is a sediment at the bottom of the bottle (it's just sleeping yeast, so feel free to drink it). If a beer is not naturally carbonated, it is "force carbonated", which means it's pressurized until the gas seeps into the beer. The gas used is usually CO2, but sometimes they use a CO2/nitrogen mix called beer gas. This is what they push Guinness with. The nitrogen makes the bubbles way more fine, and causes the beer to have a silky, creamy head (huh huh huh).

Hope that wasn't too much information : )

Fap you should bottle your beers for Amaranthians. I'd buy some.

I used to! It's just a bit of a chore to bottle beer ever since I built my kegerator. What I should really do is bottle some beer for christmas gifts. If I can just ever get around to it . . .

Agiathas

Wait...are you already trying to teach Claire the intricacies of beer?

I could have just said "sometimes yeast farts", but I decided to be a little less opaque lol
